Want To Know How To Design An Ebook?Design - well for what it's worth....... From a design standpoint, I much prefer EXE compilers (software), why, well as I have already said before, you can do so much with them graphically. I find PDF to be boring, expensive to create and slightly old fashioned looking but it still has its place i.e. to satisfy the < 1% MAC users and also as a standard for hard copy publishing. However, if you want to add a splash screen/pop up to grab your readers attention, attractive user defined status bars, interactive links that let you open up web pages/adverts in the info product and a host of other features then you could do one heck of a lot worse than use http://www.easyebookpro.com I make no apologies for recommending our this product - it is as good, if not better than the rest and at nearly half the price, so why not take a look - http://www.easyebookpro.com. REMEMBER, when designing your ebook you must take into account what your readers will see. The ebook uses your readers Internet Explorer and other components such as fonts, colors, plug-ins. So don't go using any fancy fonts unless you understand how to embed them into your pages - a whole new subject. Just because it works on your PC does not mean that it will on your readers - so keep is standard. Whilst most compilers support Internet Explorer and the variety of formats (audio, video, flash etc) do not assume your reader will have these installed in which case they will not see them. With well over 8,000 users of our info product compilers (software) we know there is a need to eliminate the EXE requirement for some sort of HTML knowledge. (HTML is the format used for creating web pages and whilst our compilers can also use text, HTML is still the main file format used by ALL EXE compilers). That's why we are in the throws of releasing EasyHTMLCreator which you can sign up for here: http://www.easyhtmlcreator.com Here is a good example of an ebook we made for EasyEbookPRO, you can download it here: http://www.easyebookpro.com/eepmanual.zip You have to admit, the look and feel is much better than the PDF equivalent and it ties in with the web site - so it is great for continuity and brand awareness. It's always nice to use images that convey meaning, just make sure they are not animated otherwise your reader will be distracted from your content - unless of course that is your intention such as for an advert. Here is a nice simple template that I have used, you can download it here: http://www.easyebookpro.com/template.zip make your own variations - go ahead no problem with me. |
