So You Want To Build An Ebook Do You?

Ebook building is no different than any other project in that you simply have to have the right approach.

Keep it simple

Why does everything have to be so complicated? Perhaps you have chosen the wrong ebook software or your ebook compiler is overly complex and confusing?

Here are some simple steps which may help make life a little easier for you.

Establish a set of guiding values and priorities. Relying on them for direction will make decision-making easier and cut down on unnecessary mental gymnastics.

Use a personal planner, either computerized or manual. At first it may seem awkward and cumbersome, but ultimately will help rid your mind of those "things I have to remember". It's probably best to use one single planner to keep track of all areas of your life. I am never without my list(s) why, because my brain would hurt so so sore that it would burst if I had to remember everything.

Make honesty your policy. "Oh what a tangled web we weave…." Telling the truth is a basic but powerful way to keep your life more simple. Don't cheat yourself by pretending things will happen faster than they actually will. Creating ebooks can be time consuming so be realistic and don't put yourself under any more pressure.

Just do it. Take action and do not get side tracked. If you want to build an ebook you have to start sometime in order for it to be realized. Acting immediately, when possible, clears loads of these nagging issues from our consciousness.

Just say no. On the other hand, not everything is worth doing. Just as pruning a tree releases energy for more dramatic growth, ridding yourself of extraneous activity can result in quantum leaps in you overall effectiveness. If you want to make an ebook do not get caught up in the finer details - keep it simple!

Delegate. The famous writers block can hit at anytime so share responsibilities with your family and friends and have a break. When you're especially bogged down, look at ways to "out source" your workload. To write and ebook IS no more daunting than learning to drive and we all had help to do that so don't be afraid to ask friends for help and ideas when you're feeling overwhelmed.
